The Details

When should I book my session?

Maternity Sessions-A good time to schedule is around the 30-32 week mark

of pregnancy.

Newborn Sessions-In order to get those sleepy, curled up poses please call

as soon as you give birth(or in advance if you are being induced or having a

scheduled c-section)since the best time for these sessions is within

the first two weeks of birth.

How long will my session take?

The typical session will last 1-2 hours. Breaks are welcome and encouraged during the session for small children. Please remember to plan around your child's naptime. Newborn sessions will last 2 hours usually.

What should I bring?

Please feel free to bring along a favorite blanket, toy, stuffed animal, guitar, etc. to personalize your portraits. Also, please bring along at least two outfit changes. Don't forget non-messy snacks and drinks for younger children.

What should I wear?

The key to great group shots is that everyone coordinate. This does NOT mean you all have to wear the exact same color, but do try to stick to the same color family(such as earth tones, shades of brown, ecru or cream with everyone wearing jeans.) Clothing options will be discussed prior to your session but feel free to bring several outfit options that we can choose from. Be creative!

For newborn sessions, I have lots of props, hats, wraps, headbands, etc. that you may use. You may also want to bring their "going home" outfit and any cute hats, headbands, blanket from Grandma, etc. that you would like to use.

When will the proofs be ready for viewing?

Your proofs will be ready about 2 weeks after your session. Please bring any decision makers with you and be ready to place and pay for your orders at this time. KMP accepts cash, checks(preferred),  and major debit and credit cards.
